# QRG SuperStream Reporting - Key Information

## **Prerequisites**

Prior to the creation of a SuperStream Batch, the following prerequisites must be met:

1. Ensure that a Pay Batch is processed successfully and a Payment File is Released.

2. The Lodgement can only be created once for each Pay Batch using the same filters (i.e. Employee, Employer, or All).  Therefore, if there is already a SuperStream Pay Batch Lodgement for Employer, you can create another for Employee or All, but not for Employer.

3. A SuperStream Lodgement can be extracted any number of times in multiple formats.

## **Definitions**

### **SuperStream Reporting**

* **SuperStream**
  ‘SuperStream’ is a standard process for sending Superannuation data and payments electronically. Employers, self-managed super funds, and APRA-regulated funds must use it.

* **All, Employer and Employee filters**
  This enables the end-user to have the ability to run the Superannuation Lodgements that contain combined Employer and Employee superannuation contributions, or individual reports specific to just Employer contributions or Employee contributions.

* **Data Extract**
  This Picklist field enables the user to choose which of the 4 standard SuperStream reporting formats they require. The picklist options for the file format are: SuperChoice, Quick Super, One Path and SAFF.

* **Retrieve an active list of Superannuation Funds**
  * **Funds Retrieved**
    'Funds Retrieved' is the Status related to the SuperStream 'Retrieve Funds' scheduled job which runs overnight, every night. It confirms the job has processed and would have retrieved any new Super Funds available, without the need for payroll users to intervene.

    The SuperStream Records have been created, but still require the confirmation that all mandatory data is complete

* **Finalise a Lodgement (Confirm and Extract)**

  * **SuperStream Data Confirmed**
    The superannuation data for the Lodgement Items are verified and confirmed

  * **SuperStream Data Extracted**
    A csv file is generated in the file format selected

  * **SuperStream Data Extraction Failed**
    The SuperStream file was unable to be extracted in csv format

* **Delete Lodgement**

  * **SuperStream Deleting**
    The Deletion process is in progress

  * **Delete Failed**
    Technical errors were encountered and the data was not deleted

## **System Process Outlines**

* On clicking the Create Lodgements options, Lodgement AU records and Lodgement Item AU records are created.
* Lodgement records act as a header for the complete dataset.
* Existing Lodgement AU records, which have not yet been Finalised, can also be searched from the Lodgements object.
* Based on the end-user selection criteria being met, if suitable Payee records are found, a Lodgement Item AU record is created for each Payee record that is included in the Pay Batch.
* Users are encouraged to ensure all Payees’ Contact records have complete address details which adhere to the required format from Australia Post, to ensure SuperStream Lodgements are uploaded successfully.
* The report is created and submitted by the end providers’ online portal (each provider may have different mandatory data requirements).
