# What's Coming Bottlebrush '21 Release

The Bottlebrush '21 release for 2cloudnine Payroll delivers a number of exciting enhancements designed to provide improved capability and efficiency in your workplace. Below are just some of the improvements and updates that will have you looking forward to the release on the **23rd December 2021**\*.

### Save time updating rates with the Update Rate Manager

* Enhance your experience when updating pay rates through the introduction of an Update Rate
  Manager that will allow you to easily perform tasks related to updating Minimum Pay Rates /
  Assignment Rates

* Completing rate changes in bulk by increasing the defined Pay Rate on Minimum Pay Rates based
  on a percentage (%), dollar value (\$) or entering a new rate

* Completing rate changes in bulk by increasing the defined Pay Rates and Invoice Rates on
  Assignment Rates and Template Groups based on a percentage (%), dollar value (\$) or entering a
  new rate

* Opt to lock invoice rates so they can not be automatically updated via the Update Rate Manager

### Provide enhancements to Rate Calculation

* For Staffing organisations, improve your Rate Calculator capabilities through enhancements to the
  Rate Calculator Builder that will provide further ease in setting up rate calculators ready for use

* Save time by applying Rate Calculator (no employee) and Rate Calculator Templates either directly
  though the Rate Calculator Builder or from an Assignment

* Increase your calculation power through the incorporation of Minimum Pay Rates into Rate
  Calculator functionality

* Take advantage of the ability to create a Rate Calculator Template without the need to define
  Margin / Mark Up records

### Enhance your Time and Interpretation processing

* Benefit from updates that consider leave taken throughout the period when calculating
  Frequency Overtime payable

* Extended functionality within the Hourly Rates interpretation rules will enable you to define
  different penalty rates based on the time of day your Employee has worked

* Improve your interpretation rule based allowance capability with the new functionality to define
  weekly allowances that can have daily thresholds via the interpretation builders

* Make use of the ability to define overtime pay codes to be paid on break loading and minimum
  rest breakpoints when they fall within time breakpoints considered as overtime.

### Provide additional Superannuation capability

* Provide your Employees the ability to direct their deduction superannuation contributions to a
  different fund than their employer contributions

* Override minimum age requirements for when calculating Superannuation to calculate
  contributions for Employees that are under 18 years of age and would otherwise not meet the
  minimum working hours requirement

### Improve your Pay Advice documents

* Provide more refined Pay Advice documents to your Employees with the ability to hide irrelevant
  sections so only selection relevant to the Employee are displayed

* Further customise the information provided on Pay Advice documents with the ability to exclude
  selected Pay Codes from displaying within the document

### Improve your Employees Experience

* Improve your Employees capability to accurately forecast their leave balance via Employee
  Experience

### Save time with new Automated Back Pay functionality (Pilot Program)

* Take advantage of new functionality to automatically calculate back pay for Timesheet based
  Employees

* Easily identify Assignment Rates that are related to a back pay

* Maintain the accuracy of statutory calculations with updates to the Pay Batch Manager which will
  allocate / calculate back Pay Transactions to the historic periods that they belonged to

During the pilot program, additional updates and improvements will be introduced.
