VMS Connect automates the data exchange between your clients’ vendor management systems and 2cloudnine’s back office. Instead of manually downloading requisitions, reformatting exports, and re-entering timesheet data, your team sees VMS activity reflected in 2cloudnine as it happens — in real time, without manual intervention.

What VMS Connect does

Many enterprise clients manage their contingent workforce programs through a VMS. When a staffing firm operates in those programs, the friction of moving data between the VMS and the back office is a constant source of delays and errors. VMS Connect removes that friction by treating the VMS as a live data source, not a system you periodically export from.

Automated requisition pull

New requisitions posted in the VMS appear in 2cloudnine automatically. Your recruiters see open roles without logging into a separate system or waiting for a manual import.

Timesheet sync

Worker time captured and approved in the VMS flows directly to 2cloudnine’s payroll and billing engine. No double entry, no export file to process.

Real-time data flow

Data is available in 2cloudnine as soon as it is submitted or updated in the VMS. There are no batch windows to wait for and no overnight syncs that leave your records stale.

Reduced re-keying errors

When data moves automatically, the transcription errors that come from manual re-entry are eliminated. Rates, hours, and worker information match the VMS record exactly.

How data flows through VMS Connect

1

Requisition posted in VMS

Your client creates a new requisition in their VMS platform. VMS Connect detects the new record and creates the corresponding job order in 2cloudnine automatically.
2

Placement confirmed

Your recruiter fills the role and confirms the placement in 2cloudnine. The confirmation is written back to the VMS, keeping both systems in sync.
3

Worker submits time in VMS

The placed worker enters their hours in the client’s VMS. Some VMS platforms also allow workers to submit time directly in 2cloudnine’s worker portal.
4

Timesheet flows to 2cloudnine

Approved timesheet data moves from the VMS to 2cloudnine in real time. The Time & Compliance Engine applies your configured pay rules, and the data flows into the next payroll and billing cycle without manual processing.

Supported VMS platforms

VMS Connect is designed to work with enterprise VMS platforms used by large contingent workforce programs. The specific connectors available to your organization depend on which VMS platforms your clients use.
VMS connector configuration is completed during your implementation with your 2cloudnine partner. Your partner will confirm which connectors are applicable to your client base and configure the integration to match each client’s VMS setup and data requirements. Raise any specific VMS platform requirements early in your implementation so they can be scoped correctly.

Eliminating manual VMS work

Without VMS Connect, your operations team typically handles VMS programs through a cycle of manual exports, file reformats, and data imports — often multiple times per week per client. That process introduces risk at every step: rates get transposed, hours get missed, and timesheet records diverge between systems. VMS Connect replaces that cycle with a direct connection. Your team focuses on managing exceptions and filling roles, not processing files.
VMS Connect is one part of a broader integration ecosystem. See the Integrations overview for a full picture of how 2cloudnine connects to finance systems, industry partners, and other platforms in your technology stack.
