The Lilly Pilly ‘21 release for 2cloudnine Payroll delivers a number of exciting enhancements designed to provide greater capability and efficiency in your workplace. Below are just some of the new features and updates that are bound to have you looking forward to their release on the 29th March 2021.

Improve your organisation’s Pay Advice documents

  • You will be able to provide your Payees with a greater level of detail on Pay Advice PDFs through the ability to break down information displayed to the project code level
  • Setting Pay Advice Messages will be easier as you will be able to define a default Pay Advice Message at the template level
  • A new customisable footer on the ‘out of the box’ version of the Pay Advice PDF will give you more flexibility to tailor the look of the outbound documents to suit your organisation’s branding requirements
  • You will have better control over which Pay Advice Templates are used with the introduction of new functionality enabling the retirement of existing pay advice templates to stop them being selected for newly created Pay Advices, while still allowing their use in rendering historic Pay Advice documents

Enhance your Leave capability

  • New Leave paid in advance functionality will give you the option to quickly and accurately pay your Payees in full, for leave to be taken in the period before the actual leave start date
  • You will have more control over the rates at which leave is paid at, with the inclusion of tools to allow Users to indicate whether they wish a Payee Leave Event to be paid at half pay, standard pay or double pay
  • The Payee Exit tool will be extended to allow you to customise any additional types of leave which can be made available for payment of the full balance during the Payee Exit Calculation process

Extend your Time and Interpretation power

  • New functionality will be added to enable your organisation to define interpretation for partial daily rates
  • You will be able to define, through the Interpretation Builder, whether Leave will be paid at the higher dollar value of standard leave loading vs shift leave loading
  • Improvements to hourly allowances functionality will allow the partial payment of hourly allowances to match the quantity of the timesheet entry
  • Enhancement to how overnight timesheet entries over consecutive days are interpreted will provide you with more detailed interpretation results

Ensure compliance with Minimum Pay Rates

  • Advanced tools will be available to set up minimum pay rates for time and allowances based on award classifications and levels, which will enable automation to create assignment rates and payee allowance records (where applicable)
  • You will be able to define casual loading calculations for the minimum pay rates
  • The process of setting up new assignments will be simplified through improvements to enable pay and invoice rates to be defined on the assignment and have assignment rates automatically created based on assignment rate template groups and pay code multipliers
  • New functionality to enable the quick and easy update of minimum pay rates or assignment rate template groups, in line with fair work changes will be available

Effectively manage your workforce with Work Schedules

  • Enhance your scheduling and rostering capability with new Work Schedules functionality that will allow you to easily create repetitive schedules of shifts ready for fast allocation to your Employees Assignments
  • Your Employees that use Timesheets, and in turn their Timesheet Approvers, will benefit from more efficient and accurate reporting of hours actually worked by having their Timesheets automatically pre-populated with shift details from their allocated Work Schedules
  • For your non-timesheet Employees, you will be able to take advantage of enhancements to the Auto Pay functionality that will provide the additional option of calculating pay based on the scheduled hours

Take advantage of Payroll Processing updates

  • You will be able to control whether Users must populate the Funding Requirement field when creating Pay Batches within the Pay Batch Manager user interface, or if the field can remain optional
  • Be proactive in managing negative net pays by reviewing new alerts that have been introduced to draw attention to the fact there are pay advice records with negative net earnings related to the Pay Batch.
  • Minimise the occurrence of errors which may be encountered during SuperStream reporting through new validation to ensure all superannuation transactions will be related to a Superannuation Fund.

Provide improved Invoicing solutions

  • New capacity allowing you to build automation to create your own Invoice Group By IDs will assist you in creating custom transaction grouping for your invoices
  • Make it easier for your Clients to reconcile invoiced expenses by enabling the attachment of Expense documentation to invoice emails
  • Streamline your invoice creation processes with improved functionality to multi-select Invoice Entities during Invoice creation

Improve your Client and Employees Communities Experience

  • Efficiently create Community Users while still ensuring security compliance with new functionality to enable the setup and auto assignment of permission sets to Users based on their profile
  • New filtering tools will be added to allow Approvers to filter timesheets in the approver community, which will make it easier for your clients to find timesheets
  • You will have more control over the look and feel of your community environment thought the introduction of custom label overrides
